May is coming to an end. But Summer is starting! And what great way to begin the new season by mentioning the beauty products that I’ve been using the most for the past month. Factors that contribute to my selection choice include quality (of course, there must be results), pretty packaging, ease of use, and pigmentation.
1. Innisfree Green Tea Moisture Skin
Don’t let its name confuse you. This is a toner! The reason is that this is a Korean product and over there, they call their toners skin or refreshers. It kind of makes sense? I’ve been religiously applying this onto my face after cleansing. I have to admit that I always look forward to using this product during my skin routine. It smells heavenly. Not too strong and not too caustic for the nose. The toner is clear, with a slightly thick texture. I find that there is enough product to go about my face after dotting a little from the bottle onto a cotton pad. The toner leaves my face even and clean.
2. Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette
Should I bother explaining this palette? It’s one of the best palettes out there because of its pigmented and varying colors. And it smells lightly of chocolate. The 16 shades are suitable for everyday wear. I’ve experienced no fall-out with the shimmery shadows. My favorite go-to color is salted caramel for my crease because it is an understated salmon/brown that isn’t too flashy. The packaging is cute and durable. The palette is a metallic tin that closes easily by the magnet. The snip, snap, shut is music to my ears.
3. MicaBeauty Eye Primer
I used to believe that the best eyelid primer was the Too Faced Shadow Insurance, until I received this one in my monthly Ipsy subscription. This was a game changer. The Too Faced one is great and all but this delivered excellent results as well. After applying this onto my lids, I can rest easy knowing that my eyeliner and shadow will stay on. I’ve also used this on hot, humid days and the results are unchanged. The formula is creamy. I typically dip my finger into the tub, make a circular motion, and then apply it onto my lids.
4. Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant Mascara
This is the first mascara that I reach for after I curl my lashes. The pudgy tube shape is easy to twist open, and application is smooth. The formula serves to lengthen and volumize. One layer is enough to achieve results.
5. SkoneCosmetics Tattooed Eyeliner
This is a black, liquid eyeliner that proves itself when drawing the regular cat eye. The pigment is extremely black. Application is smoother than Beyonce’s dance moves.
6. The Balm Mr. Write (Now) Eyeliner Pencil
Now, when it comes to lining the bottom lids, I like to choose a softer color like brown to avoid resembling a coffee maniac on raccoon hyperdrive, which is what I tend to look like if I use black on both upper and lower lids. And this is a perfect choice for making that subtle touch. I like that this pencil elongates by twisting because I’m always too lazy to reach for the sharpener.
7. SkinFood Sake Peach Powder
Honestly, I couldn’t put down this powder since I bought it. This product delivers the results promised: a matte, silky, smooth finish that lasts a long time. I’m guilty to admit that I don’t like to use the the puff applicator that comes withthe product. Instead, I use my powder brush, swirl it around the container, and then apply it to my face after primer and liquid foundation. As for the scent, it smells light, peachy, and flowery (I can’t pinpoint any sake notes, however). Overall, it’s one of the best SkinFood products out there.
8. NARS Blush/Bronzer Duo
Last but not least, and I know I’ve mentioned this product in another post, this compact is still my all-time favorite. The blush orgasm compliments almost all complexions and the bronzer in laguna is wonderful for contouring my nose and jawbone.

I want that Too Faced palette 😥
I believe if you sign up on the Toofaced website for the first time, they give you a 20% off coupon. Helps a lot if you’re trying to find a good deal on this palette! 🙂
