Ipsy Glambag June 2017

15 Jun

It’s here!

My monthly sparkle of joy. These glambag designs only get cuter and cuter, as you can witness in this month’s theme Volume Up.

I can tell you that, from experience, Ipsy is by far one of the best makeup subscriptions out there that will bring a lot of bang to your buck, as you pay only $10 for a bag of stuff that is worth much more. What’s even better is that some of the items are full sized.

So, keep it up, Ipsy. You’re going far.

1. Kokie Cosmetics Nail Polish in Atlantis at Last

This was the highlight of this month’s bag. Since the beginning of time, I’ve been so used to selecting corals and nudes as my go-to colors that I forgot what’s even edgy anymore. Then comes this color. It’s going to be a unique touch to my nail polish collection. Why? Because this is the first cobalt blue I’ll ever own. And I’ll cherish it from the bottom of my nail beds.

2.Vasanti Cosmetics Lipgloss in Super Mom

Move over red lipstick, the Nudes are taking over. When I saw this in my bag, I couldn’t have been happier. I mean, just lkghjtwfe look at that pretty shade! I’m sure this will collaborate well with my complexion because it’s neither too light nor too dark.

3. The Balm Cosmetics Balm Springs Blush

Next up is a blush from theBalm that boasts a 12-hour coverage. The shade is more on the rosy side and would be more suitable for paler complexions. The packaging follows their cute matchbox design with a magnetic shut mechanism. I’m still quite ambivalent about this product and it would take a few wears for me to fully make a decision.

4. Doucce Maxlash Volumizer Mascara

Yay! Another mascara. I mean, literally… another mascara. I’m not saying that this is another horrible addition to my stash of regular mascaras. It just takes more to wow me when it comes to mascaras because every single one of them does the same waterproof, volumizing thing.

5. SPF Rx Ultra-Clear Daily Skin Hydrator with SPF 50

Last but not least, a moisturizer with SPF, which is great for wearing underneath your makeup as a primer! One of the problems I have with foundations is that very few of them are equipped with SPF. And those that are are usually very costly–around $70 or more. Therefore, I have apply a layer of sunscreen prior to foundation every morning. I’m just so glad that this product is going to become part of that ritual πŸ™‚

As a bonus, I will include a picture of Butter to thank you all for taking the time to read my post. Until next time!

Ipsy Subscription July, 2016

4 Sep

Play catch up with me!

My July glambag was one of the best I’ve received and certainly reminds me of why Ipsy is worth the $10 every month. Come to think of it, the value of all the items combined does exceed the cost of what you pay for the subscription (For those of you thinking about your wallet).

Theme: Hot Summer Nights and the bag has little life-savers on it…Whoops! I meant umbrellas.

1. Elizabeth Mott Show Me Your Cheeks Blush in Peach Pink

I find this to be very pigmented; a little dab with the brush will give your enough for your cheeks. Since I have a square-ish face, I tend to apply my blush in an upwards manner towards my temples. This is one of the best peaches I’ve used. Not disappointed! πŸ™‚

2. theBalm Meet Matt(e) Trimony in Matt Kumar

I love getting these little matchbook eyeshadows by theBalm. So far, I’ve collected two of these; the other one is aΒ Nude one with the girl on it. What I like about this color is that it’s a matte eyelid color that compliments most skin tones. As for the packaging, the lid closes with a magnetic clasp.

3. Delectable by CakeBeauty Lemon and Cream Nourishing Hand Creamimg_7187

This is aΒ paraben free product that leaves a sweet, lemon pie smell on your hands. It does take some self-control to prevent yourself from eating it.

4. OFRA Cosmetics Lip Liner in Silk

A lip liner to be paired with a nude, pink lipstick. I’m still unsure about this one.

5. Luxie Beauty Small Angle Brush #215

Keep the brushes coming, Ipsy. Because I can’t ever have enough brushes. Since I’ve got several angle brushes, I use this one mainly for highlighting my browbone for extra definition. You can also use this for applying gel eyeliner.

Any thoughts or comments, please leave them below. Thanks for reading!
