Asian Makeup Haul

25 Jun

My taste for makeup knows no limits! Well, my wallet would disagree. Ha.

From my previous trips to both China and San Francisco, I’ve brought back a few items that seemed just too good to pass. The products stem from a variety of different Asian brands, categories, and uses. What many of them have in common are series of hype and reviews garnered lately on the internet that have prompted me to check it out myself.

Here is the first batch of items (listed from left to right):

  • Etude House Bubble Tea Sleeping Pack: Black Tea
  • Canmake Perfect Stylist Eyes: #3
  • Miniso Hello Kitty Eyeshadow
  • Les Merveilleuses De Laduree Cheek Brush
  • Kiss Me Heroine Make Volume and Curl Mascara: Black
  • Shu Uemura Anti/Oxi Cleansing Oil: Green Tea
  • Etude House Fresh Cherry Lip Tint: OR201
  • KAO Megurhythm Hot Steam Eye Mask: Bulgarian Rose

Second Batch (listed from left to right):

  • [Samples] NOV III Cleansing Foam and Washing Cream
  • Daiso Makeup Brush Holder
  • Daiso Charcoal Face Wash (I had such a great experience with these before that this time, I decided to buy two!)
  • Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner: Black
  • Sana Soya Milk Whitening Milky Lotion

I’m already using the Shu Uemura Cleansing oil and yes, it’s literally one of the best makeup removers out there. No tugging or pulling. It removes all kinds of hard makeup from the face. As for the others, I’m excited to try them out.

What do you think of my haul? Do you recognize any of these items? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for reading!

This post was long overdue, since I made the purchase during my Birthday month of last year –coughNovembercough. Sitting in my Sephora wish-list, these gems have been emitting their enchanting lures of “Buy me. That comes out to a total of $369, which was right on the mark to fulfill my VIB status for another year. What a bittersweet ending. And to be quite honest, I have yet to open some of the products, like the Urban Decay Vice Lipstick, because I’ve got so much makeup but only one face. Are you familiar with any of these products? Let me know in the comments below.

May Beauty Haul

22 May

img_6494Browsing makeup websites at 1 am is one of my favorite hobbies. I remind myself that it is harmless as long as I don’t buy anything. Only window shopping allowed. But this time, I was caught off guard when I discovered Too Faced La Creme lipsticks on sale for 50% off on their website :O

Usually, they’re sold for $22 BUT on sale, they were $11. So, like a crazy nut, I frantically looked for the colors I wanted (I wanted them all; some were out of stock) and confirmed the order.

Shipping took 5 days. Since I bought 5 lipsticks, I qualified for free shipping. On saturday morning, I heaved myself out of bed at noon to answer the door. Upon receiving the package, I no longer needed coffee.

To hell with the regular brown boxes, Too Faced wraps their goods in special pink ones that make you feel all classy and princess-y.

My items were buried underneath all the excess pink packing twirly peanuts. With every order, Too Faced gives you two free samples. I picked the Chocolate Soleil bronzer card and the Hangover Face Primer.

The colors I chose were (from left to right): Jelly Bean, Razzle Dazzle Rose, Bon Bon, Coral Fire, and Divine Wine. The last one seemed like an odd choice but I could picture myself wearing it for a formal or halloween event. You know, like an occasion that calls for sass.
img_6484img_6485On another note, I also purchased from Amazon to finish off the balance leftover on my giftcard (What a savvy choice right? I’m an expert in saving money). I ordered the Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream in Natural Beige and the Tony Moly Cats Wink Compact.

I used the Missha BB Cream before, about 2 years ago. It’s a great product that offers even coverage and sun protection. But when I ran out of it, I never got around to finally getting a new one, until now. Reunited finally..

As for the Cats Wink compact, I’ve read some positive reviews on Amazon and decided to give it a go. Not only is the little cat face cute, but the price was very affordable too: only $6.51. I ordered the shade in Clear Beige because as much as I dream of it, I don’t have snowy white skin.

I’ve yet to use any of these products yet. But when I do, I’ll be sure to write a review. Thanks for reading!
